At Ranger Personal Defense Training, we believe that ALL persons have the right to live as they desire. It is this reason that we provide firearms and self defense training to individuals with disabilities.
Persons With Disabilities Training:
During my time as a police officer, I was faced with the real life aspect of disabled and elderly persons being chosen as victims simply due to the fact that the criminal saw the potential for an "Easy" target.
At Ranger Personal Defense Training, we have developed specialized training courses for those who are handicapped or disabled. This is the only known training of its kind in the United States. ALL persons deserve the right to life, no matter their physical or mental status. We acknowledge that it is a totally different situation for those who require assistance to walk, stand or otherwise move around their home or office. IT IS NOT THE SAME FOR THOSE WITH disabilities TO REACT TO A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AS IT IS FOR OTHERS.
Courses we offer are the same as for anyone else in content and methodology, however we have designed the specialized courses to take into consideration the use of walkers, canes, scooters, etc when responding to a threat posed to you. We have worked closely with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Department of Justice to provide training to those who desire to exercise their right to protect themselves from harm. We are committed to providing persons with disabilities the necessary training to survive an encounter.
If you are interested in firearms or self defense training and you have a specific disability, we will provide you with the training you are looking for at no additional fees. Courses can be scheduled on an individual basis or as a group. Please contact us for further information.

YOUTH SAFETY AND INTRODUCTION TO FIREARMS COURSES:
As an addition to our courses, we offer youth weapons safety and introduction courses. These courses are designed to provide our youth, and our future, the proper safety, handling, and usage of firearms. These courses may also be taught individually if required.
For these courses, we provide the ammunition, weapons, and targets, as well as the necessary safety equipment. The only thing required by those attending is their attention. Parents may be present during the course if they desire, but may not partake in the range activities for safety reasons.
Cost of the youth courses is $60 for a 4 hour session and includes all training materials stated above and the use of our firearms and ammunition. Please contact us to register your son/daughter for some of the most important training they will receive.
